EDWARD BEINER AND COCOWALK: A NEVER-ENDING LOVE AFFAIR

The Early Days

CocoWalk first opened in 1990 as one of the first lifestyle malls in the United States, a concept which was just becoming popular. Its open-air architecture, trendy retailers, and many options for dining and entertainment transformed the neighborhood mall into an international destination.

Sensing an opportunity, Edward Beiner opened his third store in the new lifestyle center. Soon enough, CocoWalk became the place to hang out for people in their early 30’s looking for new experiences. It was safe, it was fun and one of the few “must-experience open air” shopping areas in Miami. Edward Beiner’s visionary bet on CocoWalk was a good one, as it quickly became his most successful store.

Fast Forward to Today

With its recent grand reopening after an all-too-long two-year renovation, CocoWalk secures its legacy as an exceptional destination for those seeking the new— including Edward Beiner’s renovated flagship store.

CocoWalk is the newest and largest of Edward Beiner’s dozen stores. Not only does it carry the finest from the likes of Cartier, Jacques Marie Mage, Dita, McLaren and so many others, but it also features a cutting-edge Edward Beiner Eyewear Wellness Center.

Design Meets Medical Science

Edward Beiner, Eyes Forward, is among the few to truly connect the best in design with the best in medical science. Edward Beiner has equipped its CocoWalk location with the latest in Optometrist technology. The company also recently hired new opticians with exceptional backgrounds, including Celina Ruiz, an Independent Doctor of Optometry.

Starting in April, Dr. Ruiz will also be able to offer virtual eye exams to clients in the Orlando area. Edward Beiner is in the process of equipping its Millenia Mall location with digital remote optometrist technology. This will allow our customers from Orlando to have their eyes examined by Dr. Ruiz from CocoWalk!

Over the years, Edward Beiner and CocoWalk have become familiar landmarks in the communities they serve.
