Palm Beach Illustrated: Getting To Know Edward Beiner

PALM BEACH ILLUSTRATED: GETTING TO KNOW EDWARD BEINERPalm Beach Illustrated digs into how and when Edward Beiner realized his passion for Eyewear design. The media group interviews the Eyewear designer Edward Beiner to understand how from an early age a passion turned into a vision. Although many cultural magazines and various media groups have interviewed the Eyewear specialist, in this exclusive encounter we dive deeper into how art and culture have influenced Edward Beiner throughout the years. The West Palm Beach magazine learns how Beiner’s father was a jeweler in Brazil and how Edward became very familiar with the design process. His own love of accessories and Eyewear in particular took off after he visited an optical boutique in Toronto. “I saw the level of intricacy that goes into designing a true quality frame, and I had such an appreciation for the artistry,” he says.

After earning degrees in history and optics from Ryerson University, Beiner opened his first store in Miami in 1981. Over time, he expanded to 11 Florida outposts, including locations on Worth Avenue and in The Gardens Mall. At once dedicated to quality and innovation, Beiner recently launched a 3D-printed line and continues to craft glasses with the same attention to detail he appreciates in his collections of watches, shoes, and classic cars. A Miami resident and Palm Beach regular together with Daniela, his wife of 34 years, and their two sons, Beiner also has a home in Park City, Utah.
