Vision Expo East to recognize Independents in Retail Award

2019 Optimum Retail Award winner Edward Beiner is determined to be among the top finalists for the 2020 Optimum Retail Award competition. The Optimum Retail Award recognizes the best independent boutique retailer among the best in the vision community. Edward Beiner will be battling it out with other top boutique retailers for an opportunity to be renamed this year’s winner.

Vision Expo East has opened entries for its Optimum Retail Award, which recognizes independent practices by showcasing their stores, products, and stories. Applicants, including international practices, must submit their entries by February 7, with the winner announced on 28 March during the New York trade show (March 26-29).

Speaking about his win, Beiner said: ‘I am constantly inspired by the incredible community of independent boutique retailers in the vision community. I look forward to seeing the original and creative ideas put forward this year and wish all the entrants the best of luck in the 2020 Optimum Retail Award competition.’

A committee will determine three finalists, who will be announced on February 21, with the overall winner decided by the judge’s scores and a vote on Vision Expo East’s social media channels that closes on March 6.
